Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao are dead. A young member of the Spirit Questors conducts a seance to ask them for messages but he accesses, instead, an old mage who is conducting the same seance. The mage either has also passed away or is alive but in a different location, hence the two candles.
The spirit of Luzon is moving on to the light, taking with her a young girl from the lowlands. The spirit of Mindanao attempts to reach out to the boy but he can neither see nor hear her. The female spirit of the Visayas, on the other hand, prevents the male spirit of the Visayas from communicating with the boy. On the right, the nude man is Naked Truth unwilling to speak to anyone at this time.
Alternatively, there are only four spirits: Luzon moving on with the little girl, and the female in pink (Visayas) preventing the male (Mindanao) from communicating with the boy. The female on the extreme left, therefore, is the alter ego of the boy, while the nude man on the right is the alter ego of the mage.
Again alternatively, we can see the scene as being from the point of view of the mage, who is conducting a seance while seeing himself as he was in the past (the boy).
